Direct Haul Logix ("Direct Haul Logix," "we," "us") operates the website www.directhaullogix.com and the related freight marketplace (the "Platform"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, company name and account type (shipper or hauler).
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password and do not access your Gmail, contacts, Drive or other Google data.
- Compliance information: driver's license/CDL, USDOT and MC numbers, insurance certificates, inspection reports, vehicle details and tax identifiers (SSN or EIN) needed to verify haulers.
- Shipment information: pickup and delivery addresses, cargo details, photos, signed e-BOLs and proof-of-delivery photos.
- Location information: while a load is in transit, haulers share check-in locations so shippers can track progress.
- Payment information: payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card or bank account numbers.
- Messages and feedback: messages between users, ratings, reviews and support requests.
- Technical information: device, browser and usage data needed to keep the Platform secure and working.
2. How We Use Information
- Create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- Verify hauler identity, insurance and equipment compliance, including automated reading of uploaded documents.
- Match shipments with compatible haulers, price loads and manage escrow payments.
- Send account, shipment, safety and compliance notifications.
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service and resolve disputes.
- Improve the Platform. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How Information Is Shared
- Between users: limited details needed to complete a haul. Full street addresses are shown only after a load is awarded, and contact details are masked on platform documents.
- Service providers: hosting, payment processing (Stripe), mapping (Google Maps) and messaging providers that operate the Platform on our behalf.
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
4. Google User Data
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google profile data is used only to create and sign in to your Direct Haul Logix account and is never sold or used for advertising.
5. Data Retention and Security
We keep information while your account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax, safety and dispute records (for example, signed e-BOLs and message audit records). Data is encrypted in transit and protected by access controls.
6. Your Choices
- Update your profile information at any time from your Profile page.
- Adjust notification preferences in Profile → Alerts.
- Request access to or deletion of your account by contacting us. Some records may be kept where required by law.
- Revoke Google access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
7. Children
The Platform is for businesses and adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new date above. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform.
